With depleted energy and the day behind us, the evening can sometimes be a bluer time of the day. If not blue, your evenings may reflect another color. The question is why and what you’re doing about it.
As a result of these colored evenings, many people seek to bypass this time with TV, books, a drink or other distractions, thereby avoiding an exploration of their feelings and why they feel the way they do at the end of the day.
This week, pick at least one day on which you’re not going to avoid the evening. Cut off the tv, leave the book closed and don’t grab that drink. Take this time to reflect. If you have a significant other around, talk and connect about what’s going on in your lives and why. Figure out what kind of emotions your evenings hold and get in touch with them.
