Tips

As the weather begins to get nicer all around the world (warming up for you northern hemisphere folks and cooling off a bit for those of us in the southern hemisphere), change is in the air.

One of the greatest things to do as the cycles of the world are changing is to change your environment in order to change the cycle of your life by mixing things up a bit. Obviously recommending a vacation isn’t an easy thing to do (well, recommending it is, but you following through less so), because that requires money, time and more.

However, what you can do is try to get away for just a short period of time - a night if you can and if not, just for a day trip sometime during the weekend. Call it a mini-cation, if you will. If you live within driving distance of a beach, or a nice lake, some mountains or even if there’s just a neat little town nearby that make for a nice day trip, go visit.

And because this isn’t a week on the beach during which the lounge chair seems so inviting (and trust me, I understand that) take the opportunity on this mini-cation to walk around and explore your new and temporary environment. The pace is yours to choose, but find the relaxation in the movement by getting into a rhythm, letting your mind wonder and just zoning out in a new place.

If you can’t get far away from home you could even go to a part of your city that you’ve never been to and try this zone-out, rhythm-paced, relaxation walk-about there. The trick is just to be some place you’ve never been before.
