More of Me to Love - Home

Whoever says, “Mind over matter,” doesn’t have very much of the latter. These weekly tips will help you learn to love your body just the way it is. Be prepared to get personal - with yourself that is! - and to start thinking positively. If you haven’t heard the truth in the last ten minutes, let me remind you that you’re beautiful just the way you are.

Tips

All of us have things about ourselves and our lives that we want to change.

Unfortunately, most of us waste our time and energy hating those things that we want to change, but it is this very hatred that stops the flow of change.

This week, use the power of love to open a flow of energy and allow change to happen within you.

After reading the tip once through, try it right now while you’re sitting at your computer.

Ready? Here it goes:

Take a deep breath, and close your eyes.  Picture, imagine, or feel the flow of love in your body (use things and people that you love in order to channel the emotion).  Do you feel the way the love moves through you, into you and out of you?  Can you feel its energy, and that feeling of possibility that it holds?

Good.

Now, feel the energy of hatred.  How does that feel?  Does it feel heavy?  Solid?  Miserable?  Burning?  Cold?

Now, open your eyes. Did you notice anything about that hateful feeling?  Did it feel like the way you feel about the areas of your life that you want to change but that feel stuck?

Try this exercise throughout the week.  Whenever you feel confronted with one of your issues or problems, take a deep breath, and see if you can picture, imagine or feel the issue or problem in your body or visualize it outside of you.  Then, allow that feeling of love that we just experimented with to spread through you, enveloping you completely, moving through your veins, arteries, organs, bones.  Now extend that feeling of love to the issue or problem and see how the love transmutes the hate for the problem.

You may get a flash of an action you can take, or you may simply feel as though the problem, now downgraded to an issue, is subsiding.  Notice what you see and what you feel.
