This may be particularly difficult for you if either you or a loved-one has recently (or is undergoing right now) had a brush with death due to disease, illness or something else. However, I consider the following a worthwhile activity and want to share it with you.
Imagine that you have just been given the tragic news that you do not have a particularly long time left to live. Sit down and think about all those things that you love about your life and that you want to make sure to do for yourself regularly.
Some people will call this a “bucket list” activity, but I’m not asking you to rectify regrets, mend relationships, issue apologies and make sure to go sky-diving.
I want you to think about the ways you feed your life with regular happiness. I want you to focus on the good things that you have and are. I want you to use this exercise as a reminder that perhaps some of the things you find yourself worrying about - like, maybe, weight, size, what other people think of you, etc. - just aren’t worth it. That you are worth giving happiness to in the now.
Feed Your Life further with this week’s blog post.
