Are you struggling with low energy? Do you use caffeine and sugar to get you through the day?
Instead of fighting your tiredness, how about listening to it?
This week, whenever you feel exhausted, tired, lethargic, fatigued, or just plain tuckered out, pause and ask yourself, “What would make me feel right again?” Take a moment to acknowledge your tiredness. Feel what that fatigue feels like without trying to shove it down or push through to the next assignment or activity. Then, let your body tell you what it really needs to feel good again.
Do you need a day off from work (do you have a sick day or vacation day that you could take)? Do you need a weekend out in nature and away from the city? Do you need a babysitter for the kids so you and your partner or you and a friend can enjoy an adult evening out? Or do you just need to sit in your pjs all day watching crummy television and vegging out?
Whatever your tiredness tells you, consider listening and make that a rejuvenating experience.
Learn how listening to your fatigue can help you relax and regain your energy with this week’s Soul Food post.
