Q: Is More of Me to Love really for me?
A: If you’ve ever thought, “I don’t like my body,” or “I could be healthier,” then More of Me to Love is for you. As supporters of the Size Acceptance movement and advocates of Health at Every Size, we will help you love your body while teaching you how to be healthier, feel better and ultimately, be happier. By incorporating healthy and positive habits into your life, you will start feeling better and being happier. “I’m happy right now!” you may be saying. Wonderful! because your happiness is our happiness, and that means you have a very special place in our community: you can show others how to love their bodies and themselves.

Q: What is your policy on weight loss and dieting?
A: As a rule of thumb, we support loving your body and providing it with a combination of exercise and healthy eating. That is, Health at Every Size is the way to go. If you choose to diet and attempt weight loss, that is your business, and the More of Me to Love program can still be beneficial to you by teaching you how to incorporate healthy habits into your life. However, dieting and weight loss have the potential to wreak havoc on your body and its levels of stasis, ultimately resulting in far more damage than being healthy at your current size, so please be very careful if you do choose to pursue those avenues. Research on the benefits of diet and weight loss aren’t as clear cut as we are led to believe, and More of Me to Love supports your efforts to read about the Health at Every Size movement before undergoing any extreme diets. That said, More of Me to Love is not a substitute for the directives of your doctor or health care professional.

Q: How is More of Me to Love advancing Size Acceptance and Health at Every Size?
A: Aside from the fact that More of Me to Love is founded with Size Acceptance and Health at Every Size as its fundamental principles and that we spread these ideas through the very nature of our community and program, More of Me to Love also donates a portion of its proceeds to groups that fight to end size discrimination and to researchers whose work unbiasedly investigates weight-related issues. Though the proceeds are generally collected and apportioned by us, if you would like to specify the Size Acceptance or Health at Every Size related cause that you wish a portion of your purchase to support, then we welcome you to do so.

Q: Why can’t I comment on blogs or in forums without registering first?
A: Unfortunately, there are many people out there who discriminate against people of size and who would say unnecessary and hateful things if we did not take measures to prevent them from doing so. Though we don’t like to have to regulate blog comments and forum posts by first making people sign up, we consider the “hassle” one small deterrent against those who do not accept others for their size and who might wish to say cruel things because of their ignorance.
