In honor of International No Diet Day, More of Me to Love is sponsoring the “I’m So Fab!” Pledge.

Every person should love and be proud of her or his body without qualification: whether tall or short, brunette or blond, tan or fair-skinned, thin or fat. No matter what you’re thinking about your body, More of Me to Love challenges you to say it excitedly.

Our culture, filled with hurtful and unnecessary self-hatred as it is, has not embraced the pride that should - and for some liberated individuals in the Fat Acceptance movement does - go along with being who they are. “I’m so short and it’s awesome,” you could exclaim, or “I’m so brunette that it’s great,” or “I’m so fat and I love it.” Be proud of your looks, your body, your size and yourself. You are beautiful.

We want to put an end to all self-criticism and so to get you started, in honor of International No Diet Day, we’re sponsoring the “I’m So Fab” pledge. Whenever you’re thinking something negative about yourself or whenever you’re about to say something about yourself in a negative way - whatever it is - stop and say the words, “I’m So Fab!” instead. Say those words every single between now and International No Diet Day for no reason whatsoever. The real challenge is to keep saying them after May 6th!

When you come to believe that you are So Fab for who you are then you will come to know that you are So Fab for all those reasons that used to make you think otherwise. One day we hope to hear you declare with pride, “I’m So Fat, I’m So Beautiful, and I Love It!”

Benefits of Taking the Pledge

By taking the pledge you enter yourself in a raffle to win a FREE copy of Fat Poets Speak, the latest publication by Pearlsong Press and the Fat Poet’s Society that actually comes out on May 6th, International No Diet Day!

Enjoy a FREE downloadable printable mini-poster by the author and illustrator of the inspirational book, More to Love, Elizabeth Patch.

On International No Diet Day you can enjoy special interviews with the poets of Fat Poets Speak right here on More of Me to Love.

International No Diet Day isn’t about rejecting diets for the sake of rejecting diets, but part of a much larger movement that recognizes that diets don’t work. Not only do they not work but they and their effects on our bodies can actually be more detrimental than remaining at whatever weight we are.

Get healthy the right ways: through nutrition and fitness.

Enjoy this article about surviving diets.

I am *so* fab - and so are all of you!

I tend to baulk at the bit of the INDD pledge that says ‘I won’t diet for one day’... it should be ‘I will make 5th May the last day I ever diet’. People put of the next diet for one day all the time. 6th May should be the first diet free day of the rest of your life.

this is a fab site by the way. Can’t believe I didn’t find out about it until now. Yippee!
