Boy, it’s good for you.
There is little end to the benefits that come with drinking a lot of water.
As living organisms, we are mostly water. When you drink more water you hydrate your body, which makes your blood flow better. That, in turn, makes your organs work better, including your heart and brain.
Drinking more water also keeps you more alert - and not just because you have to pee more when you drink a lot of water. Instead of relying on caffeine, water can help keep you awake because when you’re well-hydrated, you keep your blood flowing efficiently and you remain more alert.
Water also helps in your digestive process, so if you find that you’re a person who has trouble with the last part of the eating process (if you catch my meaning), drinking more water can improve that.
When you drink more water, you drink less sugary sodas and juices, and though you should drink what you want when you want it (excluding spirits), less of those drinks means less sugar crashes. Less sodas and less coffee also means whiter teeth.
I could go on and on about the benefits of water, but I’ll sum it up by telling you how astounded I am at how many people don’t even drink one glass of water during the day (8 12 oz. glasses is the recommendation). Thus, unless you’re getting the recommended dosage, consider drinking one more glass of water each day this week than you were before.
I love water so much I’m going to go enjoy some right now.
