Consider this...

Time moves constantly and quickly all by itself. It needs no assistance from us, and yet, we spend a lot of time wishing for time to move more swiftly. The funny thing about time is that it moves the same for everyone; it is no respecter of persons.

Time does not respect us, but we better respect it because it’s all we have. Time knows this well and only laughs at us when we get caught up in the logistics of life.

Interestingly, time mocks us even more when we are having fun. It seems that time moves much more quickly when we are enjoying ourselves. When we are having fun, we are not time-conscious. We are not obsessed with the rate of time’s passing. We are too busy making memories. Every moment is an opportunity to create a positive memory.

Use that long drive home - in parking lot traffic - to call (hands-free, of course) an old friend. We have to learn to make better use of our time, especially in those moments worthy of being wished away.

Many of us even complain that there is not enough time in the day, and for some that may be true. But, if we considered how we actually use our time, we could really stand to be better stewards. We could manage to fit in that fifteen minute phone call to Uncle Louie or granny. You know, the one you never have time for.

I believe firmly that the day should be mapped out with dazzling destinations plotted throughout. Fill in your day with the things that matter—on purpose.
