Invigorating
Definition: give strength or energy to
Want to feel invigorated? Jump into a 40 degree pool in early March. That’ll invigorate you, but perhaps not the way you want.
Day after day, week after week, month after month . . . things happen . . . the same old things. Life gets monotonous. It gets, well, boring.
When things don’t change and there’s nothing to mix life up a bit - to shake it up and make it interesting - we get stale. Our outlooks and attitudes get stale, our minds get stale and even our bodies can get a little stale.
So this week, think about getting invigorated. Think about what gives you strength and energy. Is it a trip to the countryside to breath fresh air, clear your head and reflect on life, a unique opportunity to play a pick-up kick-ball game in the local park or treating yourself to an afternoon of relaxation and - oooh - maybe a massage?
Think about what invigorates you and consider acting on it. Indeed, do act on it if you can! Spring is coming and after the cold and dormant months it’s time to start shaking off any stagnation that might be resonating and get invigorated.
Spice it up! Ooo - maybe I’ll try that new extra hot curry-paste I just got at the International Market. That could be invigorating for my sinuses!
