Hope
Definition: a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain thing to happen; a person or thing that may help or save someone; grounds for believing that something good may happen

It’s in our favorite song. Our mother’s voice. Our father’s embrace. The knowing that everything is going to be just fine. It can be found just about anywhere. In that faint, distant star or that bright and brilliant sunrise. It’s everywhere. You can find it in that budding rose—Springtime’s resurrection. When you need it, you need only look.
One of my favorites is the face of a child—a innocent glimpse of tomorrow. Sometimes it’s that gut feeling—so inexplicable. Perhaps its that untimely naivety. We hold on to this feeling because it keeps us going. They are the final fumes remaining in our life tank that manage to get us to our next destination safely.
It is just as elusive as it is tangible. Where you may find it is entirely ubiquitous. The only question stands to be: Will we be open enough to finding it? Everything has a way of working itself out. Time is, quite frankly, the universal cure for devastation and pain, but believing time will attribute to our betterment is called hope.
I think it is unnatural and nearly impossible to not hope. Although, many of us resist hopeful notions for the sake of remaining grounded, it seems counterintuitive to give up. Let’s challenge each other today to remain hopeful for ourselves and each other. Let’s sustain that childlike promise for tomorrow because sometimes hope is all we’ve got.
