The Treasure Hunt
It was our usual Monday night training session.
However, everybody was wondering why there were no pieces of fitness equipment out.
Instead, there were notes, tucked under this, hidden in there, placed above here, etc. Yes, that’s right, instead of doing our usual fitness routine, this week my clients had to go on a treasure hunt. Whatever was written on the card, they had to do.
And it could be absolutely anything from Forward Rolls, to silly movements that some of my clients have done in the past that had nothing to do remotely with fitness.
What a fun, funny evening! There were people doing cart wheels, head down, butt up movements, twinkle, twinkle little star movements and so much more.
Silliness as Fitness
What a hoot!
By the end of the session, people were laughing their heads off, reminiscing on the night’s activities, and recalling memories from their own childhoods - even sharing untold stories of what happened to them when they were children.
Everybody went home with that little bit of their own childhood rekindled. I have reports that they slept like babies that night.
So this week, bring that little child out in you again. Even if only for a short time, I assure you that something in you wants to play. So play!
Please share in the comments below some of your most memorable, favorite and fun childhood experiences at play. What silliness did you try this week?
