To wrap up the posts about the “bones” in our closets, here’s the final part of those essential items in our closet according to Nina Garcia. For parts one and two please click here and here.
So, let’s take a look at these indispensable items (and add or exchange as we wish in our wardrobes. :)
Since it’s just for illustration on styles of shoes and bags I won’t be linking them. If you want to know any source, please let me know!
Essential Shoes
Ballet Flats: For all those situations where high heels won’t do. In my case, almost everyday. I love ballet flats, and I think that they can be paired with almost anything.
Here are some cute ones.

A black ballerina flat is a real lifesaver.

Metal is neutral and can be mixed and matched with a lot of colors.

Nude or beige is very elegant and versatile.
A classic high-heel pump
Pumps are a classic: different materials, shapes and heels sizes. These are black, but nudes, reds and metalics are also great options for a “bone.”

Bags
Tote or shoulder bag: “for daytime and carrying around almost everything”

A clutch: “for nighttime and carrying around almost nothing.”

A medium sized handbag with a chain link strap
: “for those times in between.”

The must-have bag:
Totally optional in my opinion, but in Nina’s the classics are, in order of appearance: Chanel 2, 55, Louis Vuitton Speedy, Gucci’s Jackie O. and Hermés Birkin. I won’t deny, some of them are beautiful, but I don’t know if I had the means I’d pay for one them.

Chanel 2.55

Louis Vuitton Speedy

Gucci’s Jackie O

Hermés Birkin
Well, with this post we finish (for now at least) the “bones of our wardrobes.” I’d love to hear about what pieces you consider essentials and maybe write some posts with the help of the MOMTL Community (next year I’ll be publishing the results I’ve gathered so far about fashion taboos).
Your help, comments and ideas are always welcome.
