It’s all about me!
Happy Birthday to me, Happy Birthday to me. Last Tuesday it was my birthday and what do you think a Fitness Health Coach would do on her birthday???
Well, firstly, I was awoken by the two most precious males in my life, my husband Shaun and our 2 y/o son Angus. And what do you think a Health Coach would be given for her birthday?
Yes, you guessed it I’m sure: a Barista Course in a Roasting Warehouse to learn how to make the perfect coffee for my beloved husband. (Now before you get all antsy on me ladies, it’s not what you think. It’s actually what I asked for for my birthday, as I do love a really good coffee).
Then it was off for my morning run around the neighborhood to get revitalized for the day. I find this time is very valuable to me. It’s when I get to plan my day, enjoy time out on my own and take in what this wonderful earth has to offer. By the time I got back home, I felt refreshed, enarjized and ready to start my day off with enthusiasm.
Next, a few emails, catch up on some phone calls and WOW - is that the time already? Wouldn’t want to be late for my birthday lunch!
It’s my choice where to go for lunch, and I decided to try somewhere new. I find it’s always good to experiment with food and to give new local businesses a go. If it’s good, great, we’ll be back and refer friends. If not, at least we can say we tried it. And, fortunately, for my birthday, it was delightful!
The afternoon was spent working. It had to happen at some point of the day - just because it’s my birthday, it doesn’t mean my world stops, after all.
Evening arrived, and I had the most wonderful opportunity to spend quality time and catch up with my gorgeous 20-something year-old niece. Times like these, you couldn’t pay me to miss out on.
Now, to me, that is a perfect birthday: not too over the top and not too dull. Just enough to keep me feeling alive, loved and lived.
