I’m Julie, your new Nutrition Expert. It’s exciting to join such an amazing group of people moving this important work along. I look forward to sharing with you and learning from you all.

It was tough deciding on my first tip. Several ideas flowed in my anticipation of coming on board.

Finally, I stepped back and asked myself, “What’s the ONE thing I want people to do to be well?” This tip screamed back at me!
Our bellies are full of wellness wisdom. They tell us when we’re hungry and full, what foods agree with our physiology (or not), and they contribute to emotional intelligence, which plays a significant role in how we eat.

Sadly, many of us have been shamed or scared into ignoring this part of our body. I argue that it’s this disconnection from our bellies, driven mostly by body dissatisfaction, which truly undermines our health.

Consider a time when you overate or skipped a meal. Were you in touch with your belly?

As you go through today - and this week - pay special attention to this center of information. Collect data and notice whether you listen to the wisdom or ignore it because of conditioned beliefs. This simple step will inspire and inform your wellness efforts.
