When was the last time you made a new friend? If you feel you haven’t connected with somebody new in awhile let me share some ways that you can connect with new people.

This week, I want you to try one of these tried and treasured ways of meeting new people.

Join a hobby group that you enjoy.  No, it doesn’t have to be fitness related.  Whatever you enjoy - playing cards, knitting, games, photograph, computers, travel, concerts - there is a group or class for you. Try MeetUp.com for an interest group near you.

For Mothers  In Australia and perhaps elsewhere, after having a baby you are invited to join a Mothers’ Group for mothers of a similar children’s age.  My sister in law still stays in touch with one of the mothers from her mother’s group and her baby is now 23 years old! Playgroups are another way of connecting with mothers, and then of course there is school.

At Work  Do you really know everybody in your work life?  Go out of your way to say hi to somebody new in your workplace.  Business owners, check out business networking events.  Whether you’re in a certain industry, a woman business owner, or whatever else, there is likely a specialty business association you can join. Not only are they useful, but they’re a great way to meet like-minded people and make friends.

It can be daunting to meet new people, but upon connecting with someone, note the positive feelings of being with another person.

Read Fitness For All to learn about the surprising “new” and beautiful connection I made this week.

As a personal trainer who's always loved her body, Sue Bary was tired of being classified as 'mildly obese' and wanted to help others experience Enjoyable Body Movement without being subject to the usual verbiage of weight loss and dieting. Thus, she created enarji, a personal training practice steeped in the Health at Every Size approach and attitude. To learn more about Sue, click here. Because you are a special More of Me to Love member, Sue wants you to enjoy a FREE consultation through enarji's Virtual Health Coach services. .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address) to schedule your free consultation today!
