Cancellations
What an interesting week I had this week. Coming back from my gorgeous vacation up to the Sunshine Coast, I managed to pick myself up some sort of chest, cold, nasal infection which has put me in a miserable state all week. But, this still has not deterred me from attending sessions with my client’s sessions, even if I can’t do much training with them. They still deserve to have their Health & Fitness training don’t they? Just because I am unwell, that doesn’t mean their health should suffer.
However, it ended up I only had 1 day of training this week with my clients. How did this happen when I run 5 nightly sessions per week?
I was still able to attend these sessions for my clients, but they too during the day were texting me saying they could not come tonight for this reason and that reason and so on. So, it got to the stage where I had to cancel most sessions due to lack of attendance.
None of my clients new that I was unwell. I had not told them, so why were they canceling on me?
By the end of the week, I was a bit bewildered by it all and had to sit back and assess the situation. Why were most of my clients canceling their sessions this week?
After deliberating for about two days, a bright light beamed in my head with the answer.
I can’t give you that answer until the end of next week after I see all of my clients again so stay tuned for the answer for what had everybody up and canceling all week!
Explorations
For now, I want you to start thinking about your neighborhood, environment, suburb or town.
Do you enjoy what your surroundings have to offer? Have you been exploring much of your own area? I often go out running, walking, and exploring my suburb, finding new nooks and crannies and pathways to go down in order to see where I come out.
The other day, I thought I would take a walk up the back of our estate along a tree-lined ridge just to see if I could see my house from there. If I stand out on my balcony, I can see that tree-lined ridge, so I figured I could see my house. And, when I got there, of course I could see my house.
But my house looked completely different than I expected because I was used to seeing it from a different angle. Wow, it was quite amazing. I noticed that the palm trees at the front of our house actually were over our roof line and that our driveway was quite steep. I also noticed that our roof looks like it is in need of another paint job - I drive in and out of my house every day and never noticed that!
It was all quite amazing and not only could I see my house from this ridge, but when I turned to my right, I could also see the city line in the distance. We live 18km north of the city, and I was so surprised that I could see it. Another delightful surprise on my wonder wanderings through my suburb.
Try this week’s tip and see what you can find out.
I would love to hear from some of your stories after you have ventured out into your suburb. Tell me what your house looks like from another angle!
