    Is breakfast really as important as people say it is?

    That’s a great question, and the most direct answer we can give you is: “You better believe it!”

    Breakfast is, as you may have heard many times before, the most important meal of the day. Unless you’re a talented sleep walker, your body hasn’t received nourishment since the night before, and without breakfast you might suffer from inanition, which literally means “exhaustion, as from lack of nourishment.” We don’t want that!

    Here are a few suggestions about breakfast that will improve your mood, keep you more awake and minimize your need for sugar or caffeine boosts, and generally make you feel better and healthier:
    ~ Don’t wait to eat breakfast: start the day with food.
    ~ Eat breakfast every day.
    ~ Incorporate oats, high-fiber fruits, and whole-grain cereals as well as protein like eggs and dairy.
